Founding Partner and Managing Director of our Firm, an attorney with a distinguished career in key areas such as banking law, financial regulation, insurance sector, civil liability, administrative law, tax law, and constitutional law.
He began his legal education at the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), where he graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors in 1986.
His career has been dedicated to providing comprehensive legal services, excelling in contract management, advisory services for real estate and banking projects, as well as structuring trusts and handling collections on real estate guarantees. His strategic approach has enabled him to safeguard his clients’ interests in civil, commercial, and criminal matters.
Throughout his professional journey, he has pursued further education through diplomas and international programs, including the EMBA program at Barna Business School. He has served as a professor at the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE), where he was honored with the Professor of the Year award in the Master’s program, and has been a speaker at conferences and specialized seminars on inheritance law and insurance law.
His expertise also extends to a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, with a focus on drafting key legislative projects, including Law No. 146-02 on Insurance and Bonds of the Dominican Republic, Law No. 28-23 on Public Trusts and its regulations, Law No. 189-11 on Private Trusts, Law No. 479-08 on Commercial Companies, and Law No. 141-97 on Public Enterprises.
He has held high-profile positions, such as President of the Board of Directors of Grupo APEC, member of the Council of Past Presidents of Grupo APEC, Legal Consultant to the Archdiocese of Santo Domingo, Vice President of the Dominican Association of Business Lawyers (ADAE), and member of the Banco de Alimentos de Santo Domingo.
